Today, 9/2, students received their Semmes Middle School ID badges. The library will print one additional badge for each student. Each badge was issued with a clip so it can be easily attached to the student’s collar. Please note that the ID badge is a mandatory part of the school uniform and must be worn daily.
Students will need their ID badges for:
Lunch
Checking out library books
Purchasing dance tickets
Attending any school dance
If the 2nd badge is lost, there is a $5.00 replacement fee. Replacement payments should be sent to the library.

Semmes Middle School 2025 Homecoming Football game is scheduled for September 18, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the MGM Football Stadium. Tickets must be purchased for the game on GoFan.com or at the gate. Ticket cost is $7.00.
Semmes Middle School 2025 Homecoming Dance is scheduled for September 19, 2025. Tickets are $20 each and NO refunds will be issued for any reason. Concessions will be sold separately.
7th Grade: 5:30pm-7:00pm
8th Grade: 7: 30pm-9:00pm
Attire:
Girls- Semi-formal dress, modest length. No mid-drift, no strapless, no two pieces.
Boys- Must be a shirt with a collar and dress pants. No jeans or hats. Sports coat optional.

Nomination voting will take place on September 2, 2025, during Enrichment.
Must have a “C” average for all classes based on a report run on September 2, 2025.

Attention 6th Grade Parents!
The 6th Grade Back to School Dance will be September 5th after school from 2:30pm-4:00pm. Tickets will be sold for $10 on September 2nd-4th, during 6th grade lunch waves. School uniform and SMS ID badge will be required to enter the dance. Snacks and drinks sold separately at the dance.
Basketball Tryouts for boys and girls will be held on September 12th from 2:30-5:00. This includes 7th and 8th grade students. Students must have an updated physical to participate in tryouts.
Fall Sports are here! Come out and support your SMS fall sports tonight that the Community Pep Rally. Football kicks off on Thursday, August 21st, and Volleyball on August 25th! Check out the schedules to come out and support your SMS BULLDOGS!
Semmes Middle School Open House is set for August 26,2025. Title I Patent Meeting at 5:30, then classroom visits from 6:00-7:00. See you there!
