Craighead Elementary School's Math Team competed at the MCPSS Math Competition on Saturday, May 17th. Our Team participated in a written test and a ciphering segment. Our Team won Best New School. We are so proud of our mathematicians. Team coaches are Jasmine Stevens, OMI Mathematics Coach; Shaquita Thomas, Fifth Grade Teacher; and Renee Ray, Fourth Grade Teacher.

Our motivated math teacher of the month is Mr. Byrd. She is a new second-grade teacher at Craighead who has been actively engaged in a coaching cycle with our math coach. All of her students are engaged in meaningful mathematical discourse while persevering to solve math problems.
